About this Expression
The Revolution returns — bolder, deeper, and darker than before. Aged three years in American ex-bourbon casks then transferred into New Zealand Pinot Noir barrels for an additional eighteen months. Four and a half years of seaside maturation in Oamaru have given this release a dark mahogany colour and layers of cherry, toffee, and warm spice.

The Story
The Revolution returns. Bolder than before
The Revolution is Back, better and bolder than before! This delicious single malt whisky has been ageing 3 years in American ex-bourbon casks before being transferred into NZ Pinot Noir barrels, for an additional 1,5 years. While slowly maturing for 4,5 years in our seaside bond store in Oamaru, the new release of Oamaruvian Revolution - with a dark mahogany colour - has had time to gain more depth and has flavours, that any whisky lover would enjoy exploring.
Tasting Notes
Oamaruvian Revolution Single Malt in the Glass
- Nose
- Cherries, caramelised sugar, cinnamon quills and fresh tobacco, hints of grains, vanilla and orange zest.
- Palate
- Rounded, full mouthfeel with sweet cherries and orange zest dominating the mid palate, married with rich toffee and salty, fresh-cut tobacco on the sides.
- Finish
- Long, spicy finish with toffee, cinnamon and mild rooibos.
