About this Expression
South Island Single Malt opens a new era — distilled from malted New Zealand barley, aged in American ex-bourbon barrels, and slowly matured in our seaside bond store in Oamaru. Deep honeycomb and orange in the glass, it's beautifully balanced: light fruit, soft spice and creamy malt. Non-peated, delicate and easy-drinking — a pleasant wee drop to sip.

Welcome the New Era of South Island Single Malt! Our journey began with Willowbank Distillery, and now, for the first time, we are proudly presenting our whisky from the Dunedin Distillery inside the iconic Speights Brewery. South Island Single Malt, distilled from malted New Zealand barley, aged in American ex-bourbon barrels. This non-peated single malt has been slowly maturing in our seaside bond store in Oamaru. Deep honey comb and orange in colour. Well balanced with light fruity notes, soft spice and creamy malt flavours, this lovely single malt whisky is easy drinking and delicate. A pleasant wee drop to sip!
