Our beautifully packaged tasting set, including three 100ml bottles of New Zealand single malt whisky, is a perfect gift for a whisky loving friend and a great way to sample our range! The Trio Tasting Set includes: South Island Single Malt 100ml, 40% Dunedin DoubleCask 100ml, 40% Oamaruvian Cask Strength 100ml, 55,8% -- South Island Single Malt has been distilled from malted New Zealand barley and aged in American ex-bourbon barrels in Oamaru. This non-peated single malt has deep honey comb and orange in colour. Well balanced with notes of golden fruit, soft spice and creamy malt flavours, this light single malt whisky is easy-drinking and smooth, a pleasant wee drop to sip! Dunedin DoubleCask has been maturing in American ex-bourbon casks before soaking up luscious flavours from Central Otago red wine casks. While quietly ageing in our seaside bond store in Oamaru, Dunedin DoubleCask has gained a golden auburn colour and aromas of beeswax and fresh cereal, toasted oak and soft spices. The oxidised Pinot Noir Casks have given this beautiful single malt delicious flavours of red fruits and a delicate dry cherry finish. An elegant whisky with a unique flavours and characters make this whisky a truly enjoyable experience. The Oamaruvian Cask Strength continues as one of most popular whiskies - together with our Dunedin DoubleCask. After maturing in ex-bourbon barrels, the Oamaruvian has gained a beautiful rusty red, umber colour while ageing in NZ pinot noir barrels. Finished off in an ex-merlot cask, this delicious single malt has flavours of Christmas cake and madeira, caramel, dried fruit and spices. Full of flavour – yet elegant and smooth.
